The reasonability of major family celebrations often fall upon those who are the focus of the festivities. Would it not be better to do something quite original, where the strain of organisation is taken by others, in a place that is beautiful and stimulating where you have time to enjoy your friends. AHA has run a number of birthdays or wedding anniversaries where, over three days, guests enjoy a cultural programme and a grand celebration dinner. AHA takes the strain. Guests often pay their own flight and accommodation and the celebrants spend no more than they might have done on a marquee and catering at home. It is worth a thought.
