"AHA courses are much better than A level History of Art as a preparation for university work. Exposure to real paintings, sculpture and buildings develops visual alertness. Seeing art in the cities where it was made reveals how it was shaped by its cultural context. Students from AHA have been made aware of many of the problems and excitements of academic Art History before they begin their BA."

Contemporary London Course: Please contact us for Dates in 2011

This involves one week in London and a weekend away. We are toying with a weekend to either Istanbul or Spain, and will update once we have further details. It is quite possible that if Istanbul goes ahead then the dates will extend to Monday 19th July.

The fees are also to be confirmed but they will be in line with 2009 prices, which were £995.

What is included in the fees?
London Week

Expert tuition in small groups of 10 (67 hours on-site), two week travel pass on London public transport, all museum entrance fees, notes, reading lists and a drawing book. Also included are four evening entertainments. Other meals, accomodation and insurance are not included.

Weekends Away

The following are included in the fees: return flights from UK to Europe. Two nights accommodation and breakfast in each city, tuition in small groups of 10, all museum entrance fees and travel when associated with teaching.
Not included: Insurance, lunch and supper.
