"I am currently studying to be a solicitor in London. I would like to congratulate you on AHA's success. You really deserve it - my course is still one of the most fantastic things I have ever done."
Ally Mintz, Spring 1996
Feedback and quotes
Thank you all so much for everything you have done to inspire me! Thanks to the dedication and passionate enthusiasm of the tutors I have fallen in love with Italy. Esther Chadwick 2003
I wanted to thank you for such an unforgettable and treasured time in Italy, the beginning I feel of a life-long romance. It takes something more than contagious enthusiasm, a love of knowledge and good humour to draw out the eyes, minds and hearts of such a diverse group of ‘stus’; and yet our collective ecstasy was a testimony to the tutors’ individual success. I feel that now I can begin to look rather than simply to see. Henry Cobb. Summer 1999, having just sat his finals at Edinburgh.
The AHA course kindled in me a love and appreciation of Italian art such that I was able to consider taking a course in Renaissance history and art, as part of my Italian/French degree having never done any art history before, and accomplish an A grade. Thank-you. Emma Ross-Field 2002, now currently living in Rome as part of her further studies in modern languages.
Hey Dan! You remember you told me about the architect Nick Readett-Bayley, who’s working on the huge statue of the Buddha out in India? Well, I got in touch with him and have just finished doing a coupla weeks work experience with him down in London… it’s been great! They’ve got loads of creative ideas and they’re working on some really exciting projects… they let me get involved with everything they’re doing too, so it’s been a really valuable experience (almost as much as the AHA trip!) Chris Carver. Summer 2003, having completed his architectural work experience with international architect Nick Readett-Bayley, another ex AHA student.
Italy was truly amazing… having done all science A levels the choice to study Art was the most eye-opening experience. Julia Boggis, 2003
