"I see the trip as a rite of passage; a fundamental part of my education. I returned wiser...[and feel much more confident going into an arts degree] ...with such an understanding and a love for the arts behind me. I have also made friends I will keep for life. The experience was unforgettable. I LOVED IT."
Rebecca Udy, Spring 2003
Pastoral care and accommodation
With a course of 24 students there are four tutors. Our questionnaires reveal 100% of our students find the tutors on hand and approachable. Tutors stay in the same hotel as the students and the majority of them speak fluent Italian.
Accommodation
Our hotels in Italy always have an excellent location and real character. In Rome the hotel over looks the Campo dei Fiori, a fantastic central lively market square, in Florence we stay at the very last of the Edwardian ‘Room with a View’ type pensione with a large 15th century Loggia which looks down on the beautiful church of Santo Spirito. In Venice we stay across the Grand Canal from St Marks. In each case the hotels are family run and we have used them for years. Rooms are generally shared in 2’s or 4’s. 97% of students tell us the hotels enhanced the course.
