"I see the trip as a rite of passage; a fundamental part of my education. I returned wiser...[and feel much more confident going into an arts degree] ...with such an understanding and a love for the arts behind me. I have also made friends I will keep for life. The experience was unforgettable. I LOVED IT."
Rebecca Udy, Spring 2003
Practical Art
Drawing
AHA provides each student with a sketch book at the start of the course. We ensure that there is a practical artist among the tutors at all times, ready to offer instruction to any of those wishing to improve their drawing skills. No formal art qualifications are required. Many students use their sketchbooks as journals for their time away, filling them with postcards and ticket stubs as well as their artistic exercises.
Music
AHA provides each student with an amusing CD of music written for many of the buildings we visit. Beginning with simple monastic chants and ending with vibrant opera, the music is chosen to enhance our visual experiences.
