3rd -17th November

with Nicholas Ross, Gyles Morris and Cressida Ross

This is a tour of differing sensations, from the vigour and vim of Mumbai, where extremes of wealth and poverty coexist with high culture, contemporary art and Bollywood, to arid Rajasthan, cris crossed with prosperous trade routes and punctuated with magnificent forts, mosques and mesmerising temples. We will spend a decent amount of time in Jaipur and Udaipur, the point being that it is very easy to spend all one’s time travelling in India instead of drinking in these wonderful cities. We will also stop at Ajmer, which is a wonderful city and an important Islamic and Hindu shrine. You will return with a real sense of the intellectual prowess of India and an appreciation of painting and architecture through the ages and across religions. Furthermore, with friends and connections, we will offer experiences connected with textiles, jewellery and food.
