Join Joshua White for an engaging lecture exploring Sculpture in Clay, an exhibition celebrating the innovative ways British artists have transformed clay and ceramics into a powerful medium for contemporary sculpture. Tracing developments from the mid-1980s to the present day, discover how artists have challenged traditional ideas of what clay can be, pushing the boundaries between craft and fine art. Joshua’s lecture will demonstrate how this versatile material has been reimagined, manipulated and subverted to create bold, unexpected and thought-provoking works. He will shed light on the experimental techniques and radical artistic visions that have upended conventional ceramic practices to explore new forms, textures and ideas.
