Hepworth in Colour
Lecture by Tina Corri
The Courtauld Gallery and Westminster Quaker Meeting Hall
Coffee · Lecture · Lunch · Exhibition
30th June 2026
Barbara Hepworth is renowned for her abstract sculptures, inspired by nature and the Cornish coastline where she lived from the 1930s until her death. This exhibition is the first to highlight her innovative use of colour. At its centre are rarely seen wood and stone carvings painted in vivid blues and yellows. Bringing together over 50 works, the display reveals Hepworth’s careful use of colour and offers fresh insights into one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.
The lecture by Tina Corri will prepare you for the exhibition so that you can make the most of your time in the gallery and gain the greatest insight into the works. Please join us for lunch afterwards at Fumo.
